I doubt many people will be offended.... but the problem is that some may get in trouble at work for it!
I can get away with most stuff here but plenty of other members have stricter work practises or web admins.

personally i like it, so does a bloke in the office who's just walked over after seeing it on my screen....
hence its a bit of a problem
wish i could have an option to turn them off. Work machine would be avatar free, home machine wouldn't

I sometimes get accused of oggling some of these avatars by swmbo and I only wish I could turn them off - it just saves upsetting anyone.
ps I like it though

On FF you can download Image-Show-Hide which does the same thing. Bit clunky but GF safe

Yep that would be the obvious feature to have, the avatars pretty much prevent me browsing at work, and I know several mates in the same boat.
Its not exactly practical switching off all pictures in IE/Firefox/Opera, just to access one site
