Sky + again

Greetings

As you are probably aware i have just had sky+ fitted so still learning. Wife works nights so wants usual soaps recorded, well the thing is i got 5 mins in to her program before i realized i had not set it to record, i know it is a bit late now but for future ref is there any way i can press record after the program has started and get it to record it from the begining rather than from when i hit the record button.

Many thanks

As long as your watching the program it will record from the beginning.

Make sure your instant record is set to 1 hour. My installer recommended that.

for future reference when you've recorded a soap go to the planner and hit the series link button to record every subsequent episode automatically.

Sky+ was not invented to record bl*&*y soaps (even though it makes peace in our house) so i tell the missus
It was invented to record all the things you will miss while out in the garage working on your car

Sound good stuff then, so if i start to watch a program and get 15 mins in to it for eg, then decieide to record it all i do is hit the record button and it will record it from the begining then, am i correct?

yes, should do, if you have been watching it from the start. quite handy if you get half way through and forgot to at the start or decide it's good and might want to watch it again (not the soaps!)

It will, just there's no conceivable reason to want to watch them again!

yup perfectly normal for it to do that.

Another tip if you miss the begining of program, just rewind it and start the recording from the beginning.
