LPG problems

I wonder if any of you guys can help with my mates van problems.

He has an Astra 1.6 van that has an LPG converstion allegedly by Vauxhall. This has been very reliable up to recently. But it keeps breaking down now.

Initially it would cut out when on petrol but would work OK on gas. Now its on both.
When driving it looses power and when slowing down it dies. It will restart if switched to petrol if you pump the accelorator. When it fires up it feels like its not on all 4 cylinders.
If you then turn it off and leave it for a few minutes it will fire up as normal and you can drive away after a while the cycle will repeat.

He has replaced the crank sensor, vacuum pipes and battery.

The gas is direct injection and not into the air box.

Can anyone help as there is not a LPG agent near and Vauxhall cant do anything as there is no fault codes on there computer diagnostics.

He is loosing money as he cannot work.

HELP please.

Is it a carbed engine? if so check that it has a carb pre heat pipe and that the flap that controls where the air is picked up from is working. Sounds very much like carb icing up

Check if there is enough water to keep the vaporiser (if there) hot enough

As there are many systems these days make post some piccies or name system.

So. is it vaporised injection, is it liquid injection.

The vaporised injection has problems with pullution in the "helix". Find the part which connect all injectors by little hoses. Unscrew at the top two little "imbuss", take the electronic valve out. You will see little cuts/slides in the wall which will be polluted. Clean with carburattor cleaner. Put it togetter in reversed way and happy driving.
