Finding out who owns a house?

Evening all,
Out on my travels today I've found a deserted/empty house out in the sticks. It's in a really nice rural location with a near by lake and woods. Only problem is I have no idea how to go about finding who's place it is, so I can enquire about it. It's in the middle of some fields, and as such may be a farmers place. It is on the map as being Ecton North Lodge, between Ecton and Sywell/Overstone (NN6) , if any one can help?

Try land registry online

Here .It will cost you £3 for an enquiry but it's not a lot if you are really interested in the place.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Cheers guys. I knwe there was a way, but damned if I could remember it! Gonna have to post it to them too. Is this likely to be a good sign or a bad? Or jkust "It's a gov't office, get used to it" thing?

As a civil servant myself i'd say that sounds pretty normal. Just count yourself lucky there aren't 5 different forms to fill in. (I had to do 5 forms when one of my staff had one day off sick!)

That's just it there is a form to fill in and a cheque to send. Only problem being my printer's out of ink! So I have to ring them up, persuade them to send me a form, and then fill it out and return it!

If you bought that place you could walk to the Northampton Group meeting at the Overstone Manor.
