Party ideas needed!

Im looking to organise a party or posh dinner for 30 people, £35 a head is the budget. Oxford or London is the location.

Realistic or not? As there is only 30 people that will be going it cant be anything too big as we wont fill it.

Anyone been on any works do's that stood out?

Eat all you like buffet Chinese (£6.95 around here), then karting ?

Or go Italian - Pizza Hut

2 things that could really bump the price up (if included) are transport and drink. Make sure you budget for these if necessary.

A place that I have been a couple of times in London is the Texas Embassy near Trafalgar Square. Tex-Mex style food, and there are often parties in there. Depends on your taste and the people going whether it would be your thing or not... According to the web site they have some set menus at £18.50 and £20

Another place that is fairly close to Oxford (about 10 miles) is the George Inn in Dorchester on Thames. I have stayed there several times and eaten in the restaurant. You would have to speak to them about the size of party, but the food has been great every time I've been there.

Another one is the Comedy Cafe in Shoreditch, London - entrance includes meal, but transport and drinks will be extra. Can't remember total cost per person.

There are 3 comedians and then a disco afterwards. There are also a few night clubs close by if you want to go on beyond about 1:30am.

Mark.

The shooting and spearmint Rhino sound great, unfourtunately its for boys and girls! Was thinking about comedy club, its a good option, will see what the majority think.

Down in Bournemouth this weekend for the rallye sunseeker so will probably pay a visit to Spearmints!
