Questions / help
Hello All,
I was gpoing to post an ebay link up to some items I'm sellingto generate some car funds, but i hadn't finished loading them when one item
went nuts. I'm guessing I've got something special here. can anyone tell me what it is and what it might be worth.

Norris planes are now much sought after, and I have noticed that there are less for sale as time goes on, many going out of the country to collectors
overseas, the rarer models fetching very high prices. A number of people have reproduced these planes or variations of them, many of equal quality. I
feel sure that as the demand by cabinetmakers for fine tools increases, some manufacturer somewhere will produce new models based on the Norris design
in sufficient quantities to bring the price within the reach of such craftsmen

Get it pulled and QUICK.
Do some thorough research and maybe get it valued by an expert. When's the next antiques roadshow? You might get to be on telly........

Yup, you are right, but shortly below that it says "tools pictured are not for sale..."
bit missleading i must say, but read it which ever way you feel. The fact that its on a site called gallery of rare tools must mean something in terms
of the £££s

I've emailed a couple of guys now to see what happens, and what they think.

well it is getting interesting now, I've just been offered £230 to buy it now. I've sent a few more emails to find out!

If they are offering £230 to BIN, its worth a LOT more...
Dont sell it on Ebay.. take it to a specialist market.. Pull it off Ebay for ANY reason.. just say item no longer for sale.

I have two of them a 71 like yours, and a wooden smoothing plane. They are not in as good condition, as they have been extensively used by my
grandfather, then my father, and then me, (whole bunch of chippies ). Definately would not sell them, because they are so nice to use, far better
than those bloody steel ones, of which I also have a few. Ray

Well you my well be a rich man now. My first contact says they are changing hands in australia, for between 350 and 400£ but expects them on ebay to
go for more!
