Milton Keynes

I am going to England week after next on a VAG course to Yeoman Drive in MK. The have booked me into the Swallow Hotel (anything to do with goblin teasmaids?)

Is it any good, what is there to do on a Monday night?

Went on a few VAG courses in the late 70s and early 80s .Some of the guys on the courses stayed and had a good time in the evenings but I don't have any first hand experience. Probably the best person to ask may well be your instructor . Enjoyed the courses I did there.

rofl. I checked his location and was suprised to see Cornwall too.

If you go to MK just make sure your brake pads are in good condition and you don't suffer from brake fade.

Its all 500m sprints between roun-abouts. Quite good fun depending whats about

There is an independence movement similar to that of the Scots, they've even got their own (rather minimalist) flag.

Ah Milk and Beans - my old stomping ground....

There is plenty to do!

You need to find your way to xscape (the snowdome) and you will be able to enjoy skiing on real snow amongst all the fun to be had under the actual slope itself - lots of shops and bars and a nightclub if you're feeling brave - although on a monday maybe not!

Will that lot keep you entertained for an evening?

Geoff

Unfortunately I will be in a supplied VW Polo 1.2 3 Cylinder Briggs and Stratton, so the roundabouts would be a bit of a waste

Hey Mark, MK is my town!

I don't like the city centre, it's soulless and infested by chavs and young professional sales and marketing types.

Over here in Stony though, five minutes from the centre, are some good real ale pubs and often some kind of live music, folk, blues etc.

Would be my pleasure to buy you a pint and shake your hand for the help you've given me over the years, if you're at a loose end. You're welcome to come and have a chuckle at my hillarious welding too if you fancy
