indy vs vortx vs book
Right - i'm off the mark! Getting started in the first job of my build... widening my garage.
WHile I do, i'm contemplating the foundation of my build and I've narrowed down my options. I want a lightweight bec LSIS car, zx12r
engine, plastic seats and wind deflector, and SWMBO agrees. However, which chassis to go for...? I do want to weld up my own and am very temped by
the book (gibbs) chassis. On the other hand the mnr vortx and mk indy look very good vlaue for basic kits to leapfrog a lot of (albeit enjoyable)
work and get on the road faster.
So to help me decide, i have two questions:
What are the pros and cons of the indy and vortx designs?
and
how will a well built new-book chassis perform in comparison to a bought kit chassis?
thanks folks

I have an Indy (or, half an Indy so far), and have found it to be just right for me - I have a very small garage and simply wouldn't have been
able to comfortably weld up my own chassis.
I've never looked properly at the MNR, so wouldn't be able to comemnt on it, but I would add one thing:
If you go for a manufactured chassis, don't get it powder coated from the supplier - MK's powder coating option is a bargain and good
quality, but there's loads of little bits I would have liked to have changed (brakets, moutning plates etc.) and would have welded them up, but
have just ended up with loads of bits of ali riveted in instead.
