Have you checked your account using your own login or a link from this email?
If someone is paying by bank transfer, paypal will warn you to wait until the payment has cleared into your account.
If you did sell this item, then this is perfectly normal.
You can stop this type of payer if you select instant payment required when you list your items, but remember this will also exclude anyone who do not have a paypal account.

normally happens when the sender doesn't have a backup funding source for their paypal account, paypal wait until the money clears from their account until giving it to you.

i;ve had it a couple of time

echeques are a valid form of paypal payment.
Mainly used by people without credit or debit cards, just let the buyer know that as soon as the echeque has cleared you'll dispatch the product.

I removed my credit card from paypal, just debit from my bank account as only small transactions. Paypal now always send payment as an echeque. I assumed it was because I'm not using a credit card anymore.
