zaffira roof rails

a guy i work with has a 55 plate zaffira
it did not come with roof rails fitted
front to back that is
anyone ever fitted any , are they a diy job
ie just clip in or are they a head lineing out to fit job
the reason is he has a roof box and bars
but no where to fit them too

there should be plastic covers on the top of the roof that pop out, roof rail is under there.

It may not be that straightforward. I assume that you mean your mate wants to fit the roof rails that are fitted on higher spec models to his which did not have them as standard.

In my experience (and I have tried to have roof rails fitted on 2 estate cars) the cars which don't have them as standard don't have the neccessary bracketry inside to support the roof rails and as such it is a non starter.

The Zafira might be different but it is definitely worth checking before ordering them from a main dealer.

A roof rack attached to the points described by Dan is the way forward.

Cheers

Mark

off the rails

the rail idea is no go
main dealers quoted £500 + vat to fit the
rails , so the rack idea seems the way to go
