Kitcar hire
Does anyone know of anywhere I could hire a 7 (or not) type car for a 4 day weekend?
I was trying to get my car finished for a tour in May, but I have no chance at all of making it.
The next best thing will be to hire a car for the tour, but most places seem to want £400 for a Caterham limited to 300 miles or so, and 50p per mile
excess - a little bit too steep IMO.
Just wondered if anyone knows of anywhere that deals with the less hallowed marques.

Some one in Cornwall has one for hire, but it's a long way from York.

Might just use up the limited mileage just getting it to the start line!

pull the cable out the gearbox.....unless it got a tracker they would never know........
reminds me of a time when the group N boys used to fly to Capetown and hire a GTI Golf from Avis......put a few bits on it and race it> cheaper
than trailing the cars down from Joburg.......
Worked for a few years till Avis staff spotted a fire extinguisher still bolted in attached to a rollcage when a driver had the car returned for him
as he was in the hospital after pranging it

This is probably no help, but there was a company - possibly linked to the Westfield factory - that hired Westys. The hire price was then taken off
the purchase price if you ordered a kit.
