Any mobile phone experts out there?
My son got a phone from foneplanet.com 3 days ago using his birthday money and Sony Ericsson P990i and downloaded their Theme creator software from
Sony's website and uploaded a theme he made and now the phone won't start.
Been in touch with Sony support and the suggested I reloaded the firmware but the firmware won't load as it says it already has the latest stuff
on it.
Took it to Car Phone Warehouse Express repair in Leeds today and they were really helpfull as the squeezed it in while I walked round Leeds for a
couple of hours but they can't do the firmware as the haven't got it for what ever the region is.
So my plan is to use Kulan Kendi to change the CDA to Generic World and then use SEUS to upgrade the firmware.
Anybody have a spare credit for Kulan Kendi as I have bought one but the apparently they don't process the orders over the weekend and can then
take a further 24 hours.
If that fails it's going back to foneplanet, the question is could foneplanet know it's been used for a day before it died?

I t doesn't matter if it has been used you tried to use a recognised bit of manufacturer's software to change the theme and that screwed
up the phone so i think it is a straight forward warranty issue, they should repair or replace!

He used a piece of software made by Sony Ericcson designed for the phone.
How is that FCUK ing around with it?
Caber, it seems foneplanet have sold me a grey import and so Sony can't / won't help, foneplanet only open Mon - Fri so haven't
contacted them yet. Site doesn't say it's a uk phone nor does it say it's French/German model so not quite sure where we stand with
that. Hence why I'm trying to make it a uk phone.
