Virus's
For those of you that download (not legitimately) from the internet. I just discovered a new virus that monitors your passwords using a hidden process
that Task Manager doesn't show, hijackthis doesn't show, Adaware doesn't pick it up and AVG doesn't recognise it. PC was
running exceptionally slower than normal and I was getting a pop-up running Firefox (most unusual). It was popping-up using explorer, as most virii
are written for Internet Exploder it made me question and I actually found 4 hidden one's. Running merrily away watching my everymove.
Be very careful, there's a new breed!

Yeah there is something called Freedom Hidden Window that seems to be hanging around alot. AVG doesn't seem to see it and that teabag of an anti
virus that NTL give out doesn't seem to understand it either.

Steve we have an antivirus system called UBANTU........we dont get any of that nonsense.....go on you know you want to having said in the past you
want to.
As for the shop being busy thats fab
We will get all the sales staff coming into our office with virus ridden computers........asking for a fix...... have you been on any dodgy sites?
No it just stopped working yeh right check the logs and hes been all over the place. Sent the computer back with Ubantu and he has never had any
more hijacks or virus problems.

I have obtained the parasite via a dodgy Sol-i-d-w-ork-s 20-07 download, I don't frequent the dodgy one's as it only asking for trouble.
(Honest!)
Steve
UBUNTU - now there's a thought... but the software! is it really not that good?
Virus GONE - was a dodgy dll (vturr.dll) won't kill as it constantly runs and wont stop! now deleted after much f*cking about!!

Get a low end computer and have a go. I converted a year ago and we have not had any bother other than a few gremlins settting up.
You run WINE and that allows you to run windows based programmes.
Have a read and see the ubantu forums
Besides chics dig LINUX link

I'm running Yellow dog on a PS3
That seems to be fairly OK. I've done some postings to here via it.
Played a couple of games via MAME on it .
