Welding Favour

Hi all. After a welding favour - once bodywork's off my Avon I'd like to weld two metal tabs on to mount the official rollcage once I get round to racing.

I can't weld and roll cages probably aren't the place to learn.

Could anybody near Stamford/Peterborough please be persuaded to come round to mine and do it for a suitable bottle or two?

Thanks
Ed

Yeh the book suggests learning on the fuel tank. This strikes me as about as safe as learning by building your own submarine.

I've got a welder and my parents live up in Rutland Water but my welding sucks..... I wouldn't risk your life with my welding......

Just a thought but some of the mobile welding services advertised in Practical Classics etc aren't too pricey....
