P2P and Torrent Help
I cant get BitTorrent or Limewire to connect
My connection is great and i can surf fine and download other file at high speed.
Any ideas as to what the problem could be?
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Possibly a firewall you are running. Possibly you are using a router with NAT enabled and havn't set it up to forward the particular port
without network address translation.

Some ISP's are now blocking certain access Ports to this type of software - what ISP are you using?

Yes as mentioned some ISPs do not like P2P software as it takes up their expensive bandwidth that they buy from someone else generally. Azureus (sp?)
is good as you can obfuscate the traffic so the ISP has difficulty detecting what you are doing. With Torrents you can also spec ports to something
well used like Halflife.

See if you get it going with uTorrent with encryption mode enabled. If you can't get that going then there is a good chance its a problem at you
end.
