I would like to join in, but I can't 
there's no 'attachment' feature anymore and I don't know how to upload otherwise. I've managed to upload a picture to my
photo archive, but don't know how to make it my avatar. (I've tried following instructions on previous 'avatar' posts but I
don't even know how to 'cut and paste' - I'm that much of a computer numpty )
Please help, 'cos I want to play with the big boys, ( boo hoo, sob)

Go to your archive, click on the photo you want to use as your avatar. Then right click on it and say 'properties'. You should see some
text, along the lines of http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/upload/yetanothernun.jpg. Select and copy that text. Then go to your control panel, click
Edit Profile, and paste it into the field that says Avatar. Save and hey-presto, it should be there!
