306 1998 key stuck in ignition snaped off help

hi i am going to help a local guy who has snaped his key off in his ignition (he has told me it was stuck and wouldnt move and his mate has now snaped it) has any one any advice???

small snapped off hacksaw blade may be able to catch it and remove it.
summat I picked up over the years!!

push the car down the road away from your house and phone the AA

Get your wife's tweezers and grind or file the ends thinner.

no dont do that last time i miss used some it cost me £20 for some new ones, buy some from superdrug...

sorted it

thanks i sorted the guy out like this.


remove the couling around the steering wheel 20torx
put the broken key in and turn to first click
there is an 20 torx ontop of the lock remove it
when its at the first clickyou will see two holes if you look up.
you will be able to press the metal strip up and pull the lock out
dissconect the cables too
