I was pretty close to cacking myself just then! - I raced a (BMW) M5 the other night in the KC, after going for a run out to and from the Cat
& Fiddle pass with the local WSCC!

I thought you where gonna say a BMW M5 too. You definitely wouldn't race one of them round birmingham, its likely to be the armed response
team!!!!

I'm not sure I'd call an M5 a slow car. A tad cumbersome maybe compared to a 7 though

err win - no not really but fared pretty well!
it was pretty well matched on the straights until about 90-100 ish but then it started pulling away, albeit very slowly I did notice!
But it was one of the later models (not the very newest ones, but definitely not more than a year or two old!) so I think the little blade engine did
very well!!!
It was very satisfying as it was obvious that he was giving it everything aswell!
I was changing up at the limiter in every gear when we were racing on the straights - obviously the corners were a different matter

I had similar with a 530d BMW last weekend. He wouldn't move over on a short stretch of dual carriageway, so I moved over instead. When we got
to the very tight bend at the end which takes you onto a roundabout I just kept going at the same pace - the Beemer driver had to slow himself down
very quickly to make the bend. By the time he got to the roundabout I was alrady round it and off the last exit

A tad picky but "racing" on public roads is illegal. Given all the cr*p about people reporting others from blogs, websites, utube etc.
I'd be a bit cautious using that word.
Comes from bitter experince when some years ago an unmarked plod car was following a Lotus down the M4 and quote " a white sportscar joined in
and it became a race down the motorway". Copper stopped the Lotus and the white sportscar continued. I'd already told the missus she
should be more careful!
Cheers, Pewe

I didn't actually say that any of that was on a public road...

Just saw a police EVO heading south on the M5 around Gloucester. I think the police have too much money!
