Amazing hydrofoil surfers
This amazed me - I have surfed in the past (although I was useless ) but I am in awe of these guys.

Looks so elegant, but I'm sure it's very difficult.

Work wont let me see the site (classed as violent images apparently) but they are awesome. You want to watch Laird Hamilton's video. He is the
godfather of the hydrofoil board. He has been trying to ride upside down on the upper face of a barreling wave, using the hydrofoil to hold him up!
What a legend...

True, but equally, they are risking their lives in a major way everytime they 'work'. Now footballers on the other hand....

Dave Kalama and Laird Hamilton, 2 of my surfing heros, mainly because they are windsurfers too!
Check out the film riding giants, loads of big wave action from Waimea Bay and Mavericks up to Jaws off the north coast of Maui.
One day I will lead this lifestyle!

Yup - Laird is a God, there's some great vids of him at Teahupoo on YouTube, but this one is my favourite:
Nutcase
I'm off next month to stay with my mate who lives and surfs just north of Biaritz for 2 weeks of sun and surf, and now I've finally had my
eyes lasered no risk of loosing the contact lens, can't bloody wait
If you're not living life on the edge you're taking up too much room.
