If you've cut all the tubes to the measurements in the 2nd (or 1st) book you'll have to get some more steel anyway as there are quite a
few mistakes. Most (all?) are corrected in the Mcsorley drawings from http://mcsorley.net/locost/drawings.htm.
He also has drawings for various size options (+4, +442)
The 3rd book by ChrisG is a very different car, but the drawings are far better.

you should fit a std book chassis no probs.
one more question...what donor car are you using?.
if i where you.. iwould go with Ron champion one....but as mentioned, watch out for "book errors".
and the castor is not enough, so i am led to believe.

You will fit the standard chassis, but any extra space is welcome.
