New Mini Clubman

This may be old news but it's the first I've heard of it - BMW have ruined the Clubman now as well as the standard Mini...

New Clubman

But it has the same front as the BMW mini and the orig clubman was very different to the round nose jobby.

Twonks!

Yeah exactly, they've messed with the back and not the front. I guess they wanted to keep the standard front because (some) people like it, but then it isn't a clubman is it! Still, I guess I'm not really their target audience, I'm a classic mini fan myself.

Now that's what I call a Mini

Never owned one myself but that's what I want next, once I've got some cash together.

Now, a really proper mini has the hinges on the outside! BUt not bad at all there Mr Donut. I never got around to getting my minis sprayed, too busy tuning them and breaking gearboxes!

Changing the front would cause major expense -- crash testing also pedestrian impact rules would be veryhard to meet with a Clubman/1275Gt style nose.

Saw them testing the New Clubman in Austria. On a LHD it's got two doors on the passenger side and one on the driver's!! Doesn't look right in the flesh.

Don't say that! They'll go off and make one now, and ruin yet another mini variant!

Why's it got two exhausts - my cynicism says it's so bmw can con you out of twice as much for an exhaust.

Or has it got a V8

now that's funny.

Saw caption on the back of a rusty mini 1000, went something like,

"100% british 0% german - the real mini"

couldn't help laughing considering the state it was in.

BMW's best Mini con was to charge you for a key to unlock the wheels.

They really don't understand what the Mini was about.

I bet they have a Moke planned ---- it will have full leather interior, air conditioning 19" alloys and be the size of a Discovery.
