Where to get a cheap ps3?
Where can i get a cheap ps3 from? Iv tried ebay but most of them are HK or Jap versions. amazon have the best deal iv seen so far. Comes with 2 games
for £424.
Anyone beat that?

sorry cant help with a good deal but i'd say save your money and get a xbox 360 ,iv played on both and still think the xbox is better value for
money

game they dont do discounts but get them to swap the games in bundel pack for ones you want.they are normaly the cheapest as there the bigest
buyer(bulk buying power)gamestaion is now game also
they have a web site
game.co.uk
ask for student discount its 10%

Is there any region locking like with the PS2? i.e. If you buy a PS3 from Japan or HK will it be able to play games you get here?
I'm quite tempted by an XBox 360 myself because the only next gen game I'm really all that interested in is GTA4.

Check out HMV, they've got a few deals on at the moment which offer the console plus controller, an extra controller, 2 games and 2 blu-ray
movies for 425 quid. The deals are here. One of them
comes with F1 and Motorstorm.

Forza2 is amazing on the xbox360. Plus they've got the new license for grand theft auto and halo 3 is due out later this year. You'd
have to be nuts to pay twice as much for the ps3! Its never going to be twice as good and now they're loosing all they're top games to
microsoft too.....Oli.

Hmm the thing is the PS3 isn't twice as much - the XBox is 280 for the standard version or 330 for the Elite, and the PS3 is about 400.
At the moment I'm undecided, GTA is out on both but apparently the XBox is going to have exclusive downloadable content, but then the
Playstation has always been good to me in the past, and it is more powerful, so it could potentially have better games in the future.

Just brought one from the link that clockwork posted for £330 and also brough f1 game for £30. I dont think thats too bad with FREE next day delivery

Nice one, can you post back here when it arrives? Would be good to know what delivery/customer service etc was like, as I'm always a bit wary
when using a new site.

may sound daft but combine it with a mobile phone contract at www.dialaphone.co.uk some pretty decent gifts i just got free xbox 360 with sony
erricson k810i ooooh phone was also free too ps3's were available but wanted a bit of cash dependant on phone worth a look

Grr, very jealous! My only slight comfort is that GTA4 has been delayed by 6 months, but I still wouldn't mind getting my hands on all those
shiny new racing games. Have fun!
