Plumbing - Fitting an expansion vessel
I've just fitted a cond /combi boiler and the instructions state that if you have a water meter , which in turn has a non return valve you must
fit an expansion vessel in the main cold water feed to the boiler.
I have bought one with a fitting kit which has a gauge filling loop etc, I dont understand why i need a filling loop as it is going the main water
pipe anyway via a tee piece, how do i connect it and remove the air?
it is set at 2 bar from standard although it has a schraeder valve for adjusting.

filling loop is supplied as the normal use for an expansion vessell is on the heating side.disregard it and just t in the vessel as it is only going
to act as a buffer/damper to the cold mains.

I'd guess without the pic that the flexible hose is for connecting the Vessel to the pipework, if the vessel is say mounted on the wall and the
pipework is flush with the wall.
Any valves or drain-offs will be so it the Vessel can be Changed should it fail or periodically be serviced/recharged.

Must be able to figure out a use for a nice flexi on the locost, maybe for heater or header tank
