car stolen sort of
hi my dad met a guy that said he could fix his car.(headgasket had gone) so the guy came with a pickup and towed it away. because he said he worked at
a garage.
he got his phone number off him. its been about 4 weeks and he phoned him to see if he could pick it up but his girlfriend said that they had spilt up
and he had moved out (and she wont give him her address.
so now he cant get his car back. my dads a market trader and has a van so he bought this as a second car to get about in so he is really p**** off.
but he got his reg number off his pickup and a land line phone number. anyone got any ideas how i could trace the number so we could see if the car is
still at the house or trace the number plate.
he has phoned the police but they have done sod all.
thanks adam

Did he actually report it as stolen to the police?
Think that has to be the next step.
