406 oil change

Im halfway through changing the oil on my 406 2.1 TD and im not sure about if the gearbox/diff oil is shared with the engine?

There is a sump plug on the back of the diff casing as well as on the engine sump.
If its shared i guess i should drop the diff plug too and just refil via the normal oil filler cap in on the engine?

Thanks

Thanks!

Could have been interesting had i drained it and filled via the top engine filler.

Might not have made it to work in the morning though
