But worrying isn't it?!!!
I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator
headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names
furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours.

About right, some of our police do seem to exercise artistic license.
I had a go at one a couple of weeks ago whilst walking home from the pub.
Spotted a van with the cop in the driving seat parked in a disabled bay whilst his mate was in the chippy.
All the other bays were empty. Tapped on the window and..
Do you realise you are parked in a disabled bay ?
I'll only be here a minute.
That's not the point, it's for disabled people and I've a disabled friend who lives over the road due in soon.
I'll move if he comes in then.
Again, that's not the point, I believe you are abusing your privilege as a police officer.
He then muttered something and took off with rather a lot of wheelspin.

Sadly I won't take that wager even though I am (family) tied to a copper they are (mostly) all the blinking same!
I had a funny time one night in Reading where a big fight broke out, and I just walked round noting down police numbers because they were being a heck
of a lot more than "heavy handed" I was advised not to do so as I might suffer a similar punishment!!!

Steve not having a pop any copper they do a job I couldnt do. I have coppers in the familly and I have good freinds who are also in the force.
But in these times of :-
budgets and targets and league tables it must be hard not to let it de-moralise you before every shift dealling with some of the low lives you must
come into contact with every day. ( sorry every other day - due to the paper work / red tape )

I suspect the clear-up rate metrics are the main cause of going after motorists rather than serious crime. It's much less effort and cheaper,
and (I believe) they both count the same for the targets.
But it won't be the guys on the street that make the decisions on what to focus on, that will be done by the 'managers'. I'd
hope they were as frustrated as the rest of us about the rampant hypocrisy.

Don't worry - I never thought you were having a pop!!!
My angry faces were for my mini story about the time in Reading that night - what a complete bunch of utter idiots.
It's a shame but it's like anything in this country - once one of us has experienced bad things from a "group" of people then
that is the stigma that is then tied to all of them, which obviously isn't fair - it's just the way it is...

Motorists are such an easy target and great source of revenue for the "policy makers" - you arent even entitled to legal aid for motoring
offences to defend yourself!!!
I had a traffic cop came to my home back in February on the way back from an MOT after he saw me drive past with an out of date tax disk. I showed him
the MOT failure slip and explained that the car was still on a SORN declaration and i was on a direct route home. They ended up trying to prosecute me
for having no MOT, failing to produce an MOT certificate (as i didnt get it through within 7 days and produce a certificate at the cop shop) and DVLA
chased me wanting to know why I was driving without tax. Ended up having to go to court twice at great expense to me where the Prosecution lawyer
spent less than a minute looking at the evidence i produced to them proving that a car on a SORN doesnt need an MOT certificate before telling the
magistrates that they were presenting no evidence (and then outside telling me they were disgusted that it got anywhere near a court as there was
clearly no case!!)
Needless to say i now think traffic cops are just a bunch of tax collectors in a uniform!! Just waiting to hear about the official complaint i
lodged!!

I once got stopped for having 2 led's in my front grill. When i said i thought that they were legal, they didn't answer. I asked them if
they were and they said they didn't know
How long can i resist the temptation to drop a V8 in?

Heard an interesting comparison on a radio programme the other day... they were talking about a UK PC who'd resigned to join a Canadian police
force. The interviewer asking him how long it would take to process a vandal who'd broken a window (or a similar minor crime) - probably most
of his shift, was the answer.
They then asked the Canadian police force he was about to join - "oh, 20 - 30 minutes, then he'd be handed over to the desk
sergeant".
So, a UK PC spends all his shift on 1 crime, and the Canadian officers can be out patrolling for most of theirs.
