Original Lotus 7s
I suspect I'm getting old but I've just discovered
http://www.simplesevens.org/cars1500.htm which has got loads of wonderful pictures of original
Lotus 7s.... if you want to fit half a ton of engine with 400 bhp in your car as a weekend toy that's up to you but I'd rather pootle
round with Mrs Beddows in one of these beautifuly simple relatively low powered things thank you very much
If we're going racing however I'll be turning up in something much more serious

I live in Caterham where they have a showroom that used to be a Vauxhall Garage. In the workshop there are loads of very old 7's including 3 or
4 all ally ones and even a full bodied 7. I think they have nearly every model up the the current ones. If i need to kill time in Caterham i go wander
round the cars.
I also saw either this car or one very similar going down the Caterham By-Pass a few weeks ago:

Andy - isn't that a 6 rather than a 7?

I like the enclosed rear wheels, very cool, wouldnt be hard to make some for a modern interpretation.

Yes, that's a 6. Best '7' IMO (and easy to replicate) was the 37.
