ebay confusion
I have listed some items with a start price of 99p and a buy it now price of for example 30.00, as soon as someon bids the 99p or more, but less than
the buy it now price, the buy it now symbol and price dissapears from the listing................
Surely that isnt right?
But even more importantly please tell me that it sint going to sell for the 99p!
By removing the buy it now symbol any other prospective buyers are not aware that there ia a buy it now option and may not want to enter into an
auction.
Can you list a buy it now ONLY option? - i cant seem to be able to.
Or is this an ebay con to make you use the reserve price feature and get more money out of you for using that facility?

I think you need to set a reserve if using the buy it now and the low start price, or just the buy it now.
Best to be safe and re list, pretty sure you cant alter once a bid has been put on.

Shit!
I used their 'easy listing' asopposed to the 'advanced listing' option and it looks like it only has a template for an online
auction.
If i go to the advanced template then there is an 'online auction' and the 'fixed price' option.
You cant alter the listing format once it has been listed regardless of whether there have been any bids or not.
Balls i have listed 22 items - good job i noticed it though

Its something I have done a couple of times. It is a little unclear about that when you list stuff.
I know we should all read the small print but we dont sometimes.
As said relist the things, you have made a genuine error and are not trying pull a fast one. Just end the auctions and start again.
You will pay a bit more listing fee for putting a reserve price though.

I nearly got caught that way... decided to set a starting price that was basically my reserve, to stop the faffing about.
