Anyone good with dishwashers out there???
My AEG F45250VI mini dishwasher has bust....
Annoyingly it's only 18 months old.
There are no lights displaying on the display, the extractor pump is on full blast all the time (I know it's working cos if I put water in the
bottom of it, it sucks it all out but keeps on going), the on / off switch doesn't make any difference, and opening the door doesn't stop
the pump working (like it normally would).
I expect the PCB has gone terminal Does anyone "do" dishwashers???? Any other ideas? Anyone know where I can find a repair manual for
this badboy?
Annoyingly, the people I bought it from are a "AEG centre of excellence" meaning I should have a 2 year warranty but they only sent me the
standard 1 year warranty..... Little frickers...
I bought a £450 dishwasher cos it was AEG who are supposed to be good.... Guess I'll be buying bargain basement next time....

Most AEG's have either a two year or five year guarantee!
Contact AEG direct - they will tell you what they can do, as the second year is usualy direct through AEG.

Anti flood activated caused by water in catch tray underneath.Unplug and tip machine up at 45 degrees and empty tray.Plug in and try now.You may wish
to investigate possible leak into tray.Common faults included leaky hoses, wash or drain pump seals.Good luck

I might have a shoofty at the bottom of the 'washer. Most of the online places say it hasn't got an anti-flood device but it's worth
a punt!!!
I've just faxed AEG, hopefully they'll sort it out... I've opened up the cover to have a look at the PCB but can't see
anything obviously fused / bulging capacitors etc...

Have you found UK White Goods yet, used it to fix the washing machine...
shimming solid lifters is a job for a friend...

Sale of goods act, applies.
linky thing
If you buy something like a dishwasher or washing machine it should last for years or is considered to e inferior quality and the seller is forced by
law to deal with it.
You need to contact citizens advise or something similar and get ref number, than have a google for the approriate words to write.
It does work, extended warranties etc are a con as you have a legal right.
Regards Mark
NB it does work, my plasma went wrong out of warrenty with Currys, the help line hung up on me, as in you did not take out the policy so tough. Wrote
letter and got a cheque the next week as the plasma was now an old model.

I am with you.
I had a AEG and a Bosch.(same machine)
Anti flood on both due to Limescale build up in a couple of very fine tubes in the big platsic matrix in the left hand side of the machine. I drilled
a little hole and poked the crap out of it and pluged the hole with a small self tapper.
Fanny's your aunt. Got another year out of it.
