Trailer plans
Fellas,
im looking for plans to build my own trailer.
Nothing too fancy ideally an 8ft x 4 ft bed with spaceframe sides and a capacity of approx 750kg - 1000kg.
Ultimately i would like to make a car transporter but want to use this one as a practice run.
tbh any trailer plans would be nice that you dont have to pay for - im flexible in what i would build

Col,
I have a few plans, just managed to dig em out,
20 ft tilt car transporter
and a non tilt type,
I will get em all copied for you tomorrow at work

i used just an caravan chasis and welded 2 U's to it.
easy enough en you can stay unther the 750kg limit.

chech my archive out, theres some pics of my trailer. The wheels fell off but the trailer survived in one piece!
My tip, is make it a 4 wheeler whatever anyone says! 
I originally specced everything to 750kgs capacity unbraked, im replacing single axle with a pair of 550kgs, still unbraked but nicely overspecced for
a 750kgs total weight.
Got my parts off ebay, saw a deal but the guy isnt listing them any more - was two suspension units, hubs, wheels and tyres for £110.

changing subject slightly..... does anyone know anything about boat trailers?
A friend has been given a boat, think its between 18-20 foot long and it needs a trailer built to bring it to a dry birth for overhaul. I was thinking
about making a trailer for the job but have no idea of where to get some planes. Any ideas anyone?

Probably better off hiring one, try your nearest indespension store. If he is local to you then its probably going to be northampton.

boat trailers have wheels or runners to hold the hull up evenly, easiest is probably a few groups of 4 rubber wheels, with a pivot so you dont need to
line them up. Should be easy to knock up from photos tbh, but hiring may be better still!

I built one for a mate from some plans in an old Indespension catalogue. We got the suspension units from Northern tools, really good quality units
and not as dear as Towsure.

Works like a treat with my Fraser, through I noticed the other day it could be about 4-6" longer for a Westfield (they must be longer
wheelbase)
