How long to drive from New York to LA?
A VERY INTERESTING ARTICLE in wired about some attempts
to drive as fast as possible across America, Cannonball style.
Irresponsible, but interesting!

hey, thanks for posting that. Not just the article but they have the rendez-vous film made in 1976 on there, heard so much about it, and its all true1
Great stuff

Awesome!
One day I want to drive from Coast to Coast of the US, maybe take a little longer though!

A lot of the central bits of America are quite empty and provincial though. Personally I want to do the coastal route along the west coast. I've
done a little at the bottom, and a little at the top, and would really like to fill in the middle section sometime.
Cheers

Its the empty long black tops that quite appeal to me! Maybe zig zag a bit to keep it interesting.
Couple of years ago drove from Atlanta down to Panama City Beach in Florida for a week, up to Montevallo in Alabama for a few days then back across to
Atlanta. Loved it, was a proper road trip driving through some of the proper dirty south!
