Renault gearbox question

Gents, my daily driver '93 Renault 19 (1.4 energy engine) appears to have shafted diff bearings. Since it's worth, on a good day after a severe T-cut, about £300 all up, a recon box just ain't worth it. My mate said ignore it and you'll be OK but the noise is getting louder and I can just see myself trying to pull out onto a busy roundabout the day the bearing decides to collapse
19s are non-existent in the local scrappies so I was wondering, does anyone know if the Clio & Megane 1.4 use exactly the same box(es) as the 19 i.e same mounts, driveshaft fixings etc?

I had the same car as you a couple of years ago, I have also had my hands on the cases from a Megane. I could not really see any differences. Sometimes renault do mess with the starter motor holes and have subtle differences. Most decent Tatters yard fellas will usually know.
Steve.
