Quotelinedirect make me mad
I'm buying a LWB Transit today, and have been searching for insurance all week. Its for personal use, and the best quote I got was from
Quotelinedirect.com. For various reasons (like the codes on my license) the cheapest quote I got was £871.
Decide to go ahead with it, but you can't buy online, so I ring them up. "Well that quote probably won't be valid as its for
personal use, not commercial use. I'll just run through the details and see what we can do for you"
£2000!!!!
The bloody call centre operator could not understand why I was so pissed off that their system gave me a quote that wasn't valid. Trying to
explain how it was ok the quote wasn't valid, because the website doesn't ask if its for personal use.
arrggghhh
Anyway, I sorted it with someone else, less money and lower cover but still adequate.
anyway, moral of the story is don't trust quotelinedirect.com

i used them once too, but never again. They said to call them as there were additional lifestyle questions they would ask which could lower their
quote from the online value. Annoyingly i had to answer all the basic questions again despite giving them the quote reference number.
Turns out my premium went up, despite me not smoking or doing any of the other things they considered to be additional risks.
Now they have your email address you'll get reminder emails from them every year too.
Gits.

Insurance is a game of random numbers. Normally commercial use is a higher risk, so personal use should be cheaper.
