top suspention bracket

hi all which would be the best place to fix the top bracket EG on the side of the top rail or on the underneath of the top rail thanks

Depends on the length of your shocks, length of the wish bones etc.

Mine are under the tube, but in hindsight should have used them to control droop on the front so would have been better higher up.

I suggest you fit the wishbones, remove the springs and test movement from fully compressed to fully open the place where it works best. If going on top make sure the spring top hat does not foul the tube.

I put mine underneath too, but they should really be placed so the line of load should pass through the centre of the tube, so a couple of 'V' brackets should be made up and welded on.

Having said that, I haven't had any problems with mine!
