Looking for a courier to send an engine( on a pallet!!) south from Carlisle to Oxford area.
Does any body have recent experience of firms doing this that they would reccomend please?
Cheers

pallet line - used them twice.
basically you stack your sh*t on a pallet and pay according to distance; it should cost you in region of £ 50.
I tried various "man with a van" on ebay and quotes were £ 120 upwards so don;t bother with those.

I used OnlinePallet.co.uk recently, 24hours including the loan of the pallet was £70ish, but then they add VAT!
So watch for that becuase it can make a decent price not so appealing
