hi, guess its vista 64 bit version?

had a similar problem with my router.

a load of hardware companies aint up to speed on vista yet unforintatly.

try just attachingg camera via usb and use the vista syncronise wizard that might appear, otherwise pop the sd card straight into the laptop sd card reader - most have one.

it will be a work around until cannon pull their finger out.

Be VERY careful with Cannon Cameras and Vista.

Before trying to get any pictures onto the computer by connecting the camera via USB or a memory card reader use a spare memory card with a few rubbish photo's you've just taken on to test with. I lost a whole weekends worth of photo's just putting the card into a reader on Vista that was with a IXUS 400.

Its something to do with the JPEG decoder that was openscource or freely available with XP etc but is no longer with Vista
Have a search around on the net for more information about it, it corrupted all my photo's and made it say they were 3Gb each etc!.
