OT Any electricans in the house?

Just a quick question...

I want to power two heatpumps (basically refridgeration compressors and large fans...they have soft start and inteligent control etc)

The unit running current is 17.5A
Peak start current is 35A
Manufacturor recomends a 32A circuit protection...

Now my question...

Can I use one single pole 6KA 32A 'type 2' MCB for each machine with a 100A double pole isolator for the incommer?

Or am I walking in totaly the wrong direction?

If it's soft start (inverter driven) then the start current is unlikely to be 35amps.

If it was 35amps (in effect starting from rotor lock - conventional start) you would need a D type breaker (motor rated).

Check the spec and give me a u2u.
