Ebay - Seller location lies

I'm wondering why some ebay sellers mislead buyers about their location.

I just bought an item where below the item it stated the item is located at Gerrads Cross London.
On the right hand side under the sellers details it says they are in USA.
When the item arrived it had a Argentina post mark on it.

My gripe is that the item took a lot longer to arrive than I expected as I was under the impression that it was in London.

Should I give neg feedback?

I would but then I was pissed off when someone sent a DVD from Guernsey via Guernsey post despite saying it was in the UK and delivered 1st class Royal Mail.

(to be fair I don't care where something comes from but a DVD sent from the UK via Royal Mail doesn't take 12 days in the postal system).....

I'd negative feedback them. After all, if it got stopped at customs YOU would be liable for import duty... Which clearly shouldn't be the case as its in London (apparantly)... It's dishonest selling. I'd negative feedback them.

Only neg feedback them if they have already left poss feedback for you otherwisw you are likely to get neg feedback too. I would leave that grey feedback icon and explain reason plus tell ebay.

It's happened to me a few times but it's never inconvenienced me.

Speakers from London (Poland), lights from London (San Fransisco), tools from Manchester (Rep. Ireland), DVDs from Aberdeen (Germany).

Why they do it i have no idea!

Not all sellers are so opposed to giving locations:

A bit long but well worth a read.

It's because if they put London you'll assume

1) it'll arrive quickly
2) you won't get stung for import duty + VAT

Either or both of those can happen.....

if the item itself is fine, i'd just leave neutral feedback, saying something like. "great item, seller is not in london but in argentina?!" or something

I think I agree that neutral feedback is required here. The item took ages to arrive, therefore missed the deadline of when it was needed.
