Sureterm Insurance

I've taken a policy out with Sureterm for my Indy ZX9 following a recommendation from one or two members on here.. Not only do they want photo's of the vehicle for a guaranteed value which i was expecting, they also want an independent valuation on letter headed paper by a club or supplier/manufacturer.

Has any one else had to do this for them, and where do you get the valuation from?

Nothing is ever straight forward is it......

I'm insured with them, and they have never asked me for photos or any other evidence for proof of value.

I think you'd better join the BEC owners club.

Seriously though I took some pics and got the kit manufacturer to give me a valuation for a beer or two.

If you haven't taken out the policy yet get european roadside assistance at the same time as it is very good value but cant be added at a later date (only on renewal).

Yep i am with sure term and had to provide all of the above. The reason why i had to do it was because my agreed valuation was over 10K. I am a member of M1MOC and the guys there did my valuation which i forwarded to the insurance.

It says in the small print any vehicle valued at over 5k needs to be treated this way... I have already paid them, but may cancel and go back to Adrian flux they just need the photo's.

How much is your's valued at Roadrunner?

I told them it was worth £6500 with no problems.
My renewal was only £126, how does this compare with yours.

I dont think its unreasonable of them to ask for some kind of agreed value. It helps keep things sensible which can only help us to keep quotes low.

The last thing we need is a bunch of idiots registering cars worth £20k+ and then claiming for them, when they are only worth £5k+

This will soon make our premiums sky rocket and we'll endure the same levels of cyniscym tintop car drivers get

I felt Sureterm were very easy and pleasant to deal with.

Just pop to any of the suppliers or join Friends of Mac#1 Owners Club.

I'm sure if you gave Mark @ MAC#1 a call after speaking to Jos @ M1MOC - he'd help you out with an agreed value for some beer tokens. They are good guys and I'm glad they're still fighting strong after the horrendous fire they had!
