Does this look suspicious to you?
I have received this message through ebay from a person in Canada. I realy am not sure if its genuine or not!!
"Hello,
I am wondering if you can help me. I saw that you had a less than satisfying experiance with "*****", ******. I had purchased a couple of
sets of car brackets from him last summer, unfortunately outside of ebay, and have been given the run around since. Unfortunately, the address I have
for him in Norwich is associated with a disconnected phone number and he is ignoring my emails. I was hoping that you might have a more recent address
for him so I can track him down - ideally to get my brackets, but at least to get my 54 pounds back,
Thanks for an assistance you can provide,
Kerry (Canada)"
I have the info they are looking for. Does this look wrong to you? I just have a strange feeling about it
Thanks Ronnie

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Tread carefully - he seems genuine enough, but as he dealt outside of eBay he has no recourse.
As he has contacted you from Canada he is hardly going to fly over to reclaim his Goods/Money is he... personally I would divulge the information. Or
if you are uncomfortable with that - give him this website address - someone will let it out.

Gotta be asked - he's not chasing Darren at GTS is he???? ahem - that would be a first!!
I'm with Steve - if there are dodgy traders on ebay then they deserve to be chased so if you have the info let him have it.
Make it clear to the Canadian guy though that its the end of your involvement in the matter.

He sounds genuine but what does he expect you to do? ID keep away once your involved you never know what you might end up doing. Just tell him to
write to him. That is the problem if you buy out of ebay your covered for nothing.

I did help somebody else who had trouble with him so how many others are there? It seems strange that sombody in Canada would buy brackets from
somebody in Norwich outside of ebay from a seller who only accepts cheques and doesn't use paypal. I do not want to name him as some people on
here have probably bought stuff from him that use this site as he advertised locost stuff.

Reading it with the phrasology and terminology used (yeess!! massive words ) It reads to me like a British person has written it. A bit sus I
reckon.

I agree.
Either Brittish or very well educated.
Personally i'd not get involved.
Why would someone from half way accross the world be chasing £54 from an off ebay deal. !??

You might find that Canadians are a bit more literate than yanks. Hence, the more British tone to the message. Depends on which part of Canada as
well.
Cheers,
Syd.

If this was unsolicited, and you had nothing to do with the original transaction: RUN and do not respond!
You can't tell where someone is from by the way they write; could be from anywhere, but it doesn't matter, you should be careful. You just
can't be sure what this guy's intentions are; and even if it were all true, it has nowt to do with you (see???).
