GT Racer on Dave @ 19:00
New series on Dave, 'GT Racer'. It is a series about classic car racing.
This episode they are in Portugal, I watched it earlier and thought it was rather good......in fact I will be watching it again at 7.
Definately worth a watch

Excellent. But how the hell did they allow that Lotus 11 to run with the driver's head about 6" above the single roll hoop?!!

Oooooo a lot of my old race mates on that.....
I really enjoyed that...but not enough of the racing IMHO
To answer the roll hoop question, cars of that period have different rules with regard to roll hoops and cages.......even belts believe it or not

Fozzie - I knew safety regs were a little bit more lax for historic but that's taking the p*ss!!

Wyn......one of our customers races his with just a lap belt, and its done the Le Mans Classic, and Goodwood Revival many times...oh and Laguna Seca
(sp?)...all he uses is a lap belt, and believe it or not he doesn't have to use that......
Nail biting or what.......

I read once that stirling moss never ever put a seat belt or harness on while racing, even in the old F1 days.

I thought last weeks was better.....but then I am probably biased.........
