Don't know if Shearer would be a good manager, don't think anyone does. The fact he's happy being a pundit despite the pay being an
order of magnitude less speaks volumes about his personal opinion of the job/his abilities. He would be the fans choice at least at the start - more
so than Keegan IMO.
He did get a lot of support. The shirt manufacturers were ecstatic I'm sure. Whether he keeps that support remains to be seen - I can't
see him turning the team around before the end of the season.
