what a day:(
Woke up this mornin start of the hols(only 16 so still at school) and thought right going to get going on my chassis as something to crack on with for
the next week.
Got the shed cleared up and got a table in etc thought everything was going well.
ONce the chassis was on the table i had a closer look and realised the thing wasnt straight!!! ( i didnt build it) plus on closer inspection the welds
on it look rubbish!!!
So that put me in a bad mood.
Decided to go for a spin on my moped ( im only 16 and all i can get so no laughing please ) and all of a sudden it decided not to start on me!!!
Thought i best get it fixed so had a look took seat and the plastics off, checked the spark, checked the fuel, checked the oil
all seemed fine so was baffled.
Then as i was walking up to it i noticed a puddle on the floor under the exhaust.
Luckily wasnt petrol but water.
Had a look and the exhaust was split and pouring out water...
BUt where on earth has this water come from?!?!?! so now i need to strip it down and remove the cylinder to see which gaskets blown. and then repair
this.(anyone whos worked on one before will appreciate the engine inaccesibility!)
then in tyhe midst ofall this i missed several phonecalls from work saying they need me in early so had to rush there in a terrible mood!!!
so ye thers my rant for the day
feel better all ready
and sorry for boring you all

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I was going to recommend a couple of beers... but that's not a legal option, is it!
Go out, meet your friends, do something different - then come back and sort it out...

I'm guessing from your puzzlement it's an aircooled engine thus not coolant.
So, remember that for every gallon of fuel burnt approx 1 gallon of water vapour is produced.
Thus, not uncommon for water to condense in the silencer and dribble out.

nope its watercooled, im not puzzled about it because theres a gasket gone somewhere, and its not dripping out, its gushing out!!!
so going to be a long few days of not car building

The good news is your still young, and are already learning a lot of aluable skills.
The bad news is your still young, and you've still got many years of this sort of sh:t to deal with. Its life I'm afraid.
Hope you get all your gremlins sorted.

Is or has the coolant level dropped?
If not more likely as Nigess suggested to be water vapour that has collected in lowest part of silencer.

Put a drop of petrol down the plug hole and put the plug back in then kick it over after you've kicked it a few times with the plug out.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
