under age driving...........

Having noticed today there seem to be some under 17's on here and that some of the rest of you might have kids, I thought you might like to check this club out.

My two have been driving for what seems like ages now. Couldn't recomend it enough. Where else could you do the carterham drift and slalom schools at 15? You get to drive at some cool places like castle coombe, transport research lab, shakespear county raceway, they've even been to Prodrives test track. You get to drive other things like trucks and fire engines.

Wow if only i had known of that!

The prodrive track is really good - my mum had a driving day there and i got to go in the back of her car while she went round (and spun around) the skidpan, as well as the kart track and the main track.

Like the others above, I wish I could have done that

Looks like fun. My kids have been driving since they were 10 & 12 and raced karts so when my oldest son passed his test he had no problems. Its definately a good idea to get some experience before hitting the road. This is what i was doing at 14

I have always been really jealous of the kids who like your did the banger racing, I often go up to Fraserburgh to watch. One day I might have a go.

Hmm ok, you lot are sensitive today, must have touched an exposed ‘pride’ nerve there. I usually spot the cars going up and just follow them. Had a chat with a few guys about their cars, even got a rule book but always had other projects to do . I sometimes go up with a dog or two and watch from the grandstand

Looks fun but the track is a bit small.
