OT. Washing machine
Anyone know how difficult it is to change the bearings on a Hotpoint Aquarius WD440, and how it comes apart?
Thanks

I haven't change bearing in that model, but its fairly straight forward.
you will need to take the back off, from there it simple and will be self explanatory

eh?
just take the back cover off and you'll see the pully. Take the belt off and then remove the bearing holder casting (usually bolted onto the
frame), then press out the bearing. Very straight forward so long as you have a vice.
here's a link there all boringly similar -
http://www.eveshamsquash.co.uk/appliances/aeg_bearing.html
a quote from it - 'I've had the AEG 6350 for nine years. For the first seven years, we were doing between 15 and 20 washes a week
(babies' terry nappies and lots of squash kit). That's 6,000 washes!' - remind me never to have kids...

Many thanks chaps, it is my daughters, and about 15 miles away, thats what she thinks has happened to it but it is only about 2 months out of
warranty. The last one I took right to pieces had to come out of the top.
