levi 501 Black Jeans
I went to buy a couple pairs of levi 501 jeans and they were £55 each at Debenams, they have got to available cheaper than that somewhere else!
I might be turning into an olde fart here but £55 seems mega expensive to me
Cheers

What is this obsession with labels in this country?
Jeans is jeans. They all come from a factory in China anyway, whether they're a pound a pair or a hundred.
What you spend depends on how gullible you are

I find that the budget jeans from Tesco, Asda etc are every bit as good as the label slave versions, but how do you think they can make a pair of
jeans for £3??? Slave labour basically - somewhere in a Chinese sweat shop, there are hundreds of kids on almost no wages and long hours, being
practically forced to produce these garments for a company that makes very little profit, so that the likes of us can benefit.
Something very wrong there don't you think? There is a school of thought which says is better to buy a 'label' sometimes because the
factory making them has installed recognised working standards and treat their employees accordingly.
Just food for thought ....
Cheers,
Raz

Thanks everyone,
I have tried various cheap brands of black jeans over the years and found first wash they go a milky black colour and look awful, the Levis can be
washed loads before being the colour even starts to fade.
That's why I buy them but not at £55
I shall try Gun Wharf keys or wait for a sale
Cheers

Jeans are not jeans, the weight and quality of the denim can vary massively (not saying it's necessarily true that labels = better, just that
they are not all the same!)
Personally always found Levis to be excellent, but have NEVER paid full price for them, there are always places with sales on or discount stores.

Yep Levis for me last longer, so much so that it's not worth getting the cheap jeans.. I normally ware the fabric out on the cheap ones...
But I always buy from outlet centers, during the sales...

I buy whatever jeans I like the cut, fit and style of. Sometimes they're as little as £20 a pair, sometimes they're £100 and also have a
label. Do I care what anyone else thinks either way?............... Nope, I couldn't care less. I've earned it, so I'll spend it on
whatever I see fit.

in florida there was (is) a levi seconds store selling them for about $25 a pair! Needless to say i came back with a heavy case, as did swimbo! You do
need to pay attention as to what the defect is though, some are awful and some are unnoticeable.
