Garage insurance

Hiya guys.

Just read TGR-ECOSSE thread about his garage, REALLY sorry mate I feel for you.

I've just built a large shed to build my car in, at the moment there is nothing in it but I was going to use the holidays to get started.

I live in a council house so can't get buildings insurance... do any of you know of anywhere I can get contents that would cover the contents of a shed or seperate shed insurance?

Who the f**K tightened this up!

footman james,

I just covered my kit car (part built), parts to a value of £6000 and £400 of tools for just over £40 per year for accidental, fire and theft.

Well worth it.

I called the insurance company and they told me if the garage is mentioned in the title deeds of the house i might be covered. (note the word "might" It is in the title deeds so we will see what happens !! I would definately make sure you are covered as it will save any worry like i am going through just now Hopefully somebody will have some advice on this subject.
For those who don't know what happened Fire Linky

Still upsets me to look at this picture
