Weather!

I have just checked Google weather, BBC 5 day forecast and uk.weather.com. None of them agree what the weather will be in Edinburgh over the weekend! AARGH! how can I plan anything particularly involving driving my locost!!!

I find that their forecasts slowly shift with time. They can be forecasting sunshine 2 weeks before the date but they change the forecast, daily, towards heavy rain.

I often find when i go out in the car if;
1. Head is cold but not wet then it isnt raining and possibly winter, autumn or early spring.
2. Head cold and wet then it is raining.
3. Legs getting wet too from the rain running down from head then its quite heavy rain.
4. Head stinging and wet then its sleet and / or snowing.
5. Head hot and burnt = sunny and warm.

I then adjust clothing to suit.

In extreme cases i have been known to put on a T-shirt or even long sleeves.

precisley the closer to the date you get the more accurate they become.

Its a mixture of high pressure moving south followed by a low with a stiff northerly breeze making it feel some what cooler over the weekend.
The percipitation will come on sat with a mixture of snowy showers however friday and sunday will be dry

They really haven't a clue, I use to do flying and realised how hopeless the forecasts are.

If you were to do a table in excel showing what they predicted and what actually occurred you'd find rolling a dice would have been more accurate. 7 day forecast don't make me laugh. Must be the best job in the world, they constantly balls it up getting it all wrong and folk still take them seriously!

I read in Focus that they were boasting a 2% increase in the accuracy of predicting the paths of hurricanes over Florida since they started modelling them on supercomputers, 2% that’s pathetic!

So now everyone listens to the same people about how they predict this global warming over the next 100years without question.

No it’s like this right through the year; it can snow here in June. Personally I'm sick to death of the weather here rain rain and more rain (its raining now...) I haven't been able to use my beach buggy for the last 3 years due to the miserable conditions. My garage has flooded about 5 times due to mental downpours, totally pee’d off.

I'm moving to France to get away from it in 2 years and I won't be coming back

Weather reports are about as reliable as mystic meg

In the 7 days prior to my wedding we had about 12 different styles of weather forecasted- anything from snow to bright sunshine!!!

I'd trust the websites to let me know what the weather is like at the moment, but it's easier to stick my head out the window and have a look!!! Anything more advanced that 30-45 minutes and it's speculation

You just have to plan a route where you can get some shelter if it starts to wee down. Got got caught in heavy rain crossing the bridge into Fife. Left bright sun in edinburgh and ended up sheltering under an over pass.

Prepare for the worst and hope for the best, Locost driving in Scotland.

Must MOT mine, so we can get a run out.

Cheers

Hall

Met office figures say they gewt the forcast right 3/4 of the time; 75% of the time. Sats' show that there's a significant change in UK weather once every 5 days.

So if you just say tommorow will be the same as today you'll be right 80% of the time!

Tommorow it'll be cold and wet.

Trousers get wet. Boxers dry quicker when you call into blue rinse cafe. You dont get as many locals asking you questions when they see the danger mouse or clangers logo on your boxers upon swinging your leg over side panel of 7. They do however see the halfords pink barbie cycle helmet as a threat

Sleeveless top is a blakes seven original so maybe that recieves a level of respect i previously thought unattainable.

This reminds me - anyone know how to polish ali stains out of patent thigh lengths??????????
