My Daughter has taken over production of the damn fine Triton race seats and her contact email is emmatrs@live.co.uk.

rear
perhaps a lot of work springs to mind... building a tunnel, diff mountings (i assume IRS is in order) all the rear suspension etc also probably needs
a whole new boot floor built...
i just can get my head round a front wheel drive diff arrangement. i think that would end up being a LOT more work than everything above. FWD probably
won't be very reliable either, but i'm only saying this because i can't get my head round it

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

There's a firm doing a modified front subframe that fits a R1 FWD.
FWD means no SVA, RWD means enough chassis gets chopped around to require one (IMO) - if that makes a difference.
Here you go http://www.pro-motive.co.uk/
Lot of money for what you get, but the easiest way.

Hi sticking the engine up front makes no sense. You are just adding extra weight to an already heavy package. Given that you need to get down to
400kg to make a bec advantageous over a cec.
Cheers Matt

Stupid money if you ask me, but all the prices reflect the money Z-cars make on their kit and the current insane money anything mini seems to make.
