Hi all ... was looking at all the links on this news site and wondered if anyone here knew of any engine that would make rons locost realy efficient
but fast n fun too...

One of the new small capacity direct injection petrol engines might be a good bet. I know westfield and MEV have done electric powered racers too.
I've often thought it might be interesting to do a hybrid 7, hell of a project though. you could have a leccy motor to drive the front wheels
and handle regen braking, wouldn't need a huge amount of batteries either.

to keep the fun factor i think you should try a Corsa 1.2 16V engine with 70BHP.
its injection and won't drink...
offcourse you can even go lower and try some 3cilinders 1.1 ones...

The new VAG 1.4 TSI gives 170bhp and puts in near 50mpg in the golf. Gets my vote. That'd be a good start for a hybrid i bet - 50 bhp leccy
motor running through the fronts, about 50kg of battery.
